NEC/SIAE MICROELETTRONICA LITIGATION SETTLEMENT
Litigation on IP matters initiated by NEC on October 2006 in Germany and Italy against SIAE MICROELETTRONICA S.p.A (see SIAE MICROELETTRONICA press release dated October 19-2006) was globally settled in front of the Munich District Court on January 27-2010.
Here below the relevant press release agreed by the parties:
GLOBAL SETTLEMENT ON PATENT DISPUTE BETWEEN NEC CORPORATION AND SIAE MICROELETTRONICA SPA
"On January 27,2010 NEC Corporation and SIAE MICROELETTRONICA S.p.A achieved before the Munich District Court a comprehensive settlement relating to some NEC's patents in the DMR field.
NEC and SIAE MICROELETTRONICA agreed to withdraw all infringement, nullity, and opposition actions pending worldwide.
Furthermore, both parties agreed to bear their own costs and to keep confidential the details of the settlement".
