NMS5 is SIAE MICROELETTRONICA’s proprietary, high-end, network management systems, designed to easy manage and supervise telecommunication networks lowering OPEX. NMS5 manages all SIAE MICROELETTRONICA products and third party equipment offering a full range of applications such as alarm monitoring, performance monitoring, service provisioning, backup & restore, hardware inventory and NE software management.

NMS5 is available in several configurations to match different needs starting from small networks up to large mobile operator deployments.

NMS5 runs on Linux operating system gains maximum scalability by platform virtualization flexibility and is at the same time both a powerful management tool and a cost-effective solution.

New automation features improve the return of investment, enabling OPEX saving in network operation. Furthermore NMS5 is ready for the SDN software architecture, accelerating the transition to multidomain network orchestration.

NMS5 architecture is based multi-layers:

  • Element Manager System (EMS) to manages single equipment with full FCAPS support
  • Network Manager Systems (NMS) to provisions and manage Packet services and TDM path
  • North Bound Interfaces (NBI) to communicate with external Operation Support Systems (OSS)
